So long, farewell, goodbye

So long, farewell, goodbye to our classmate and friend Elizabeth. She is leaving the cold New Zealand weather behind her as she jets away to the sunny and beautiful Rarotonga. Fingers crossed she will be back in Room 12 again later this year as planned. We will miss you.....until we meet again, our thoughts are with you and your family. All the best Elizabeth!

Brownies.....Yum! Yum!

The Mysterious Onceler

The Onceler is very mysterious and stays in his small, cold lerkim. His lerkim is part of his empty factory which is on the street of the lifted LORAX where the grickle grass grows. Sometimes he speaks on special dank midnights during the third quarter of the year. BUT... you'll have to pay some silly stuff. He'll let down his tin pail and you'll have to toss in fifteen cents, and a old nail, and a slimy shell of a great great grandfather snail. Then, he pulls the pail up to see if you've payed him the correct amount of the things you have to pay. He hides what you've payed him in his GRUVVULOUS GLOVE! Finally he lets down a snergelly hose and tells you about the LORAX! And thats what I know about the Onceler.

P.S. The words he speaks are not very clear, so listen carefully.

The Lorax

Miss Patterson read us "The Lorax" ebook by Dr Seuss using her iPad.
Then we went outside and drew pictures of the characters and settings in the story.
