TRUMP

This week we have been looking at the key competencies. We used the acronym TRUMP to remind us of these five skills we're developing at school.

Miss Patterson set up a bus stop activity. Each sheet of paper had one key competency to focus on. At our leisure, we moved around each sheet and recorded what the skill looks like to us. For example, "managing self looks like a class member putting up their hand when they have something to say".

Have a look at our thinking (that we related to others) as we demonstrated our understanding of symbols and text and managed ourselves by actively participating and contributing in this learning task.

Who am I?

Can you guess which characters our class members are? Do you know the name of the book their character is from? Test out your book and character knowledge....we dare you!!!!!

Book Parade 2012

To celebrate book week we dressed up as a book character and paraded around the hall for the whole school to see. Our fabulous Koromatua teachers each shared one of their favourite books with us and Mr Farthing read us an exert from: The Hobbit by J.K Tolkein. What a fun and entertaining morning we had. A special thanks goes out to Rakai, our budding video recorder/photographer.

My Wish List.....

It's Book Week at Koromatua School and we are so excited!!! On Monday we visited Whaea Osbourne in the hall and put together our wish list for items we would like our parents/grandparents to buy for us from the book fair this week!

REMEMBER you can make book fair purchases during morning tea (10.30-10.50am) and after school (3pm) starting Tuesday.
